About Us
We are both Dutch nationals who have benefitted from multi-cultural, international opportunities throughout our lives. We’ve led dual global corporate careers, and have created success for some of the world’s best-known consumer goods companies. Through LaunchSpace we leverage our 30-year corporate experience across the globe. Acting as investors and management coaches, we match entrepreneurs to business concepts in which they can excel.

After graduating with an MBA from Groningen University, I have produced marked success in general management positions for Unilever, Coca-Cola, Bunge, Novartis, and GlaxoSmithKline in 10 countries spanning Asia, Europe and The Americas. My most recent corporate position was General Manager Mexico for GSK Consumer Health.
With this background and having run my own consultancy business in Southeast Asia, I’ve expertly leveraged big picture perspective, a talent for creating order in chaos, and a passion for empowering teams.
Global organizational leaders and the teams I’ve worked with describe me as “having a persuasive can-do mentality”, and as someone who “gets the job done and wins in the marketplace”.

As daughter of a career diplomat with postings to Turkey, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Spain and Chile, I have lived in an international context from early life. I graduated with an MBA from ESADE University in Barcelona and HEC Paris, and was recruited upon graduation by Bain & Co to work in their Paris office. After Bain, I joined Unilever; and later Sara Lee International, where I stayed for over 20 years in various roles around the globe. My most recent corporate role was General Manager, Hungary.
I have a reputation for “keeping my cool” and delivering strong success with business savvy, and exceptional team engagement and mentoring through highly difficult and dramatically changing environments.

Our Story
After getting married, we pursued our respective careers with joint postings to Indonesia, Czech Republic, Philippines, Malaysia, Hungary and lastly Mexico. With this background, we both strongly cultivated our skills to connect the dots, adapt across cultures, be flexible, and take on new challenges.
Having fulfilled a long global career in FMCG and consumer health, we decided to move on to the next chapter in our professional lives. We love to be at the forefront of new developments, and help create an economy of the future that meets the needs of a rapidly changing world.
In 2016, given the opportunity to refocus our business goals, we moved to the hotbed of innovation, Austin, TX. We want to put our experience to work, and undertake and participate in entrepreneurial ventures that seek to reinvent conventional business models, making them more convenient, with less capital and higher yields. To this end, we have created LaunchSpace LLC, a platform for new business investments, where we help fulfill entrepreneurial dreams by empowering people through coaching, financial funding, operational support and strategic leadership.
We are the proud parents of 3 teenagers who grew up as global citizens. Our children have always adapted quickly, and fortunately they continue to thrive in their new environment in Austin.
In our spare time, we both love traveling and meeting new people. Buff enjoys music and being active outdoors. Carolina is an avid fan of water sports.
In pursuit of our international careers, and having lived in emerging countries a substantial part of our lives, we have a strong sense of how fortunate we are. Our great passion over the years has been to coach and financially support those who were perhaps born in less fortunate circumstances, yet bright and full of ideas and achievable dreams.
